Laurie McCauley, DVM will present two days of fun created in a small group setting that will increase your whole-bodydiagnostic and treatment skills. With lots of hands on wet labs,combined with one on one teaching techniques,you will learn how to improve yourdiagnostic and therapy skills.On Saturdaythe topics covered will include special tests to differentiate hip pain, sacroiliac pain, and lumbosacral pain.Learn the typical presentation, clinical signs, and best treatment options for multiple musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Sundaywill start with cranial sacral techniques, which aid in CSF motion for improved nervous system function, patient comfort and athletic ability. Innovative manual spinal and rib manipulations will be taught to gain fluidity in movement for your patients. From there shewill talk about diagnosing spinal conditions and reviewing which modalities to use for optimum treatment results. We will end the day with a lecture/lab on acupuncture techniques not taught in certification classes.About the PresenterDr. McCauley graduatedin 1992 from Colorado State School of Veterinary Medicine. After six years in general practice, she became a pioneer in the field of Veterinary Rehabilitation, designing the first underwater treadmill for dogs. Dr. McCauley started the first Rehabilitation Clinic in 1998 and was on faculty at Canine Rehabilitation Institute for 14 years. She is certified in Acupuncture and Chiropractic therapy and in 2014 became Board Certified in Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. McCauley isan International lecturer and contributing author in many textbooks and journals. She was awarded the 2011 Iams AARV Award ofExcellence in the Field of Rehabilitation and the 2015 AHVMA Holistic Practitioner of the Year Award.
