The AAVA offers an Advanced Certification examination! Candidates that successfully pass the examination are designated as Fellows of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (FAAVA).
Requirements for qualification are listed on the AAVA website. The program is based on the American Board of Veterinary Practitioner’s Board Certification process and consists of clinical experience in acupuncture, submission of acupuncture continuing education attended, submission of case reports, and self-study from the required reading list.
Taking the FAAVA examination is a great way to refresh and add to your acupuncture knowledge. Passing the examination is a wonderful way to demonstrate your dedication to veterinary acupuncture to your clients as well as your colleagues.
