An Acupuncture Practitioner's Approach to Diagnosis, Treatment and prognosis of the "Non-Lame" Horse (Keeping Your Clients Hitting On All Cylinders)

In the morning session, all points will be located with colored stickers on a live horse. Afternoon lab will emphasize diagnostic patterns of reactivity, aqua-puncture, traditional dry needling, and electro-acupuncture techniques.  Each attendee will Acupuncture a horse under Dr. Cahill's guidance.

Emphasis will be on keeping performance horses in balance, “hitting on all cylinders”. Helping them to be the best that they can be in their chosen discipline. Additionally, Dr. Cahill will address topics regarding reproductive treatments for both the male and female horse. Anestrus, urine pooling, retained testicles, and shy breeders will be covered. Dr. Cahill will also cover his treatment of partial laryngeal paralysis in both yearlings and older horses, as well as his approach to maintaining the geriatric patient. Dr. Cahill will share specific examples of horses that he has personally treated not theoretical extrapolations.
